Fully Automated Driver's License Check Now Live

Driver's license checks at fleetster have always been flexible. Until now, two proven methods were available: either the driver presented their license directly to the administrator, or they uploaded photos of their license in the app. The data was automatically extracted and transferred. The administrator then reviewed the photos and data and approved the license.

This semi-automatic process has proven itself and worked very well for many customers. Now we're taking it one step further.

With the new feature, the driver's license check runs completely automatically. Drivers scan the front and back of their license directly in the fleetster app. A brief facial liveness check ensures the document and person match. The system automatically verifies security features such as the hologram and releases the license immediately – without any administrator involvement.

Administrators retain full control at all times: they can review every automated decision and reverse an already confirmed license if needed. If there are any recognition issues, the administrator is automatically notified and can intervene manually.

The new feature saves time on both sides. Drivers receive immediate feedback without waiting. Fleet managers are relieved of routine checks and can focus on more important tasks. All three variants – manual presentation, semi-automatic photo check, and the new fully automated check – remain available and can be used as needed.

The feature is already being actively used by many customers and the feedback has been consistently positive. Fleet managers who have long been waiting for a fully automated solution report how much time and effort they save.
