fleetster expands its own database of electric cars - for more electromobility in fleets
fleetster is taking the next step for electromobility in fleets- all relevant information from e-vehicles is administrated in one central database and permanently optimized. These are for example the vehicles' ranges during different seasons (temperatures), the impact of the charging possibilities (type of cable and charging rate), or the different types of vehicles (battery size, charging possibilities).

This means, that every fleetster user can directly start to choose their electric car from our database and fleetster automatically indicates the right values for the calculation of consumption and charging performance and thus the vehicles' range. This way, bad surprises are almost impossible. Plus, all values are permanently adapted by the fleetster team, in cooperation with TÜV SÜD.

The team around Volker Blandow, head of e-mobility at TÜV SÜD, checks the vehicles' charging characteristics with suitable hardware (smart meter, voltmeter). In addition, the vehicles are tested one month on the road under real conditions, by the staff of TÜV SÜD. Afterwards, the driven route is compared to the range reduction. With this, we ensure that we can provide adequate information so that the users will know if their planned travels can take place without the risk of breaking down on the way.
Next year we will expand our database even more and improve the information about ranges and charging characteristics by means of telematics. This is how we give e-mobility the chance to be widely applied in fleets.
