Starting the vehicle with the theft-protection blocked

Most cars still require a physical car to be started. In combination with our car sharing kit that means that the key needs to be in the car at all times. Since that can cause issues with the car insurers there is an additional theft device that interrupts the car's ignition, if our software does not tell the car sharing kit that the engine may be started. 

In the case where users make a stop and close the car with the app, the start interruption is activated. If the driver takes the key with him and opens the car only with the key, he will get in, but the car will not start. It only starts, if the vehicle was opened with the app.

Since users often forgot about this behavior, we added a new notification that is triggered during a booking, where the theft protection is active and the user tries to start the car. In order to start the engine, the user must click the open button in the app, which automatically de-activates the theft protection.

Now after the booking has been returned if you as the administrator make any change to the booking it will not trigger an email saying that the booking was edited.

Now the private address of the user will be displayed in the address field of the invoice. Previously, the address taken was the user's location address.

Everything at a glance - important documents of your Public CarSharing users are now stored bundled in the profile section. You can scan driver licenses, identity cards or signed contracts, upload them and manage them in the user details.

This is one of our new features which is from now on available for our public car-sharing partners.

Even a small scratch in the paintwork of a car or damage with other traffic participants causes a lot of administrative work. We help you to reduce this bureaucratic part. At the same time, you gain an overview. All smartphone pictures, descriptions and insurance data are now saved in one section. The vehicle can be immediately be blocked by the administrator and the necessary services can be initiated.
In summary, users can record and document the damage by themselves - administrators do not have to intervene or inspect the vehicle.
Furthermore, the feature enables all future users of the vehicle to get a quick overview of the reported damages.
